As the Wyz Wimmin’s Producer I was given the Nambucca Valley Australia Day ‘Cultural Award’ but this really belongs to the whole company.
The ceremony included welcoming new Australian citizens and one of the dignitaries spoke about our strength as a nation when we come together in all our diversity.
As a theatre company we bring to the stage a diversity of characters that often challenge stereotypes. In every production we strive for the authenticity of our characters and what our audience sees on stage is people being unreservedly human.
I am so proud to be part of this group.
